Commentary on Terry Tate Single-Vehicle Accident in Tarrant County

Anytime authorities bring up alcohol, it's obviously worth considering. I can't say if that happened here, but if it did, it could mean looking into a local bar if they illegally over-served the driver. Establishments can be liable under dram shop law when they contribute to crashes through negligent service of alcohol, which is why investigating such matters thoroughly can be of significant help to the victims involved.

But those investigations can also consider the possibility alcohol wasn't a factor here. If it turned out police simply got the facts wrong, it wouldn't be the first time. Mechanical issues, medical conditions, tire blowouts, road hazards--likely or not, considering these factors can be crucial can be crucial for getting victims and families the help they deserve.
