Commentary on Semi-Truck Accident on SR 281 in Quincy

There is at least some silver lining with reports saying injuries here were minor, but it's important a truck wreck is taken seriously no matter what. Things aren't always as "minor" as they may seem.

Not that long ago, a man came to us about a crash where it initially seemed like he was fine, just some back soreness. Days later, though, the soreness became crippling pain. He could barely move, let alone go to work. Further tests showed that the crash ruptured a disk in his spine, and he needed surgery.

What reports framed as no big deal turned out to be months of recovery and back and forth with the insurance company getting them to take responsibility for their actions. I sincerely hope no one here has to go through such an ordeal, but that's no reason a family can't prepare themselves just in case.
