Commentary on Ted Stiles, Andrea Stiles Car Accident in Potter County

With late-night rollover crashes like this, folks tend to just assume the driver did something wrong. Maybe this is another example of a distracted or drunk driver. Maybe someone was over-served by a bar, and that bar is liable for the injuries under dram shop law. But even if something like, say, a mechanical failure is unlikely, it's important investigators have the experience and tools to look into those possibilities. Getting answers is crucial for getting folks the help they need, yet countless times I see reports where something important slipped through the cracks because authorities didn't dedicate enough time and resources to do a proper investigation. Were they more thorough here, or is there more to this story?
