One Killed, One Injured in Four-Vehicle Crash on I-90 in Billings, MT

Billings, MT — July 27, 2022, a 59-year-old Billings man died and another was injured in a four-vehicle crash on I-90 in Billings.

According to reports the incident happened around 5:40 p.m. on eastbound I-90 at mile marker 448. Preliminary investigation suggests the victim's Chevy Cavalier, a Ford Expedition, and a Kenworth tractor-trailer were traveling slowly near a construction zone when a Dodge Ram pickup hit the Expedition from behind. The impact triggered a chain-reaction crash as the Expedition hit the Cavalier. Both vehicles then spun out of control while the Dodge continued on and rear-ended the semi-truck's trailer.

The Cavalier's driver was fatally injured in the crash. The Dodge driver suffered unspecified injuries. The Ford's occupants and the truck driver were unhurt.
