Danny Ibarra, 1 Injured in Car Accident in San Antonio, TX

San Antonio, TX -- June 20, 2022, Danny Ibarra and one other were injured following an accident where their vehicle crashed.

Preliminary reports said that the crash took place at around 12:15 a.m. along Market Street at Tower of the Americas Way.

Authorities said that 27-year-old Danny Ibarra and a 21-year-old woman were in an Infiniti car traveling eastbound on Market Street. At Tower of the Americas, the vehicle reportedly lost control and skidded into a traffic pole.

Both Ibarra and the other occupant were said to have incapacitating injuries. Unconfirmed reports suggest that alcohol or an altercation in the vehicle were possible factors. Additional details are under investigation.

There are obviously some concerning possibilities, according to authorities, but it's important to keep in mind that these are still preliminary investigations. If alcohol was indeed a factor, then there should be appropriate consequences. That, of course, includes holding liable any complicit alcohol providers that may have over-served the driver of the vehicle.

However, if alcohol wasn't a factor, are authorities taking the necessary steps to properly investigate other possibilities? I often find they can get hung up on more enticing explanations at the expense of less common factors. Common or not, all possibilities warrant consideration if people are going to get the help they need. Are those steps being taken here?
