Commentary on Thomas Young Motorcycle Accident in Denison

It's obviously serious anytime authorities bring up the possibility of alcohol. It could mean that some local business illegally over-served the victim, which could make them liable for this awful event. But police also mentioned the bike appearing to avoid something just before the crash. What was that thing? An object in the road? An animal? Some other reckless driver that left the scene?

My concern is authorities may be too quick to move on since they think this crash may involve alcohol. But if they waste time only to find alcohol wasn't a factor, they may no longer have the evidence needed to clear up what really did happen. That's why I always encourage independent investigations after a serious crash like this. Ensuring the victim's loved ones have all the facts should be a priority.
