Octavio Hernandez Manzano Injured in Car Accident in Lacy-Lakeview, TX

Lacy-Lakeview, TX -- June 23, 2022, Octavio Hernandez Manzano was injured after an accident where his vehicle hit a guardrail.

Investigators reported that the crash took place at around 11:12 p.m. along I-35 near FM 2417.

According to officials, 40-year-old Octavio Hernandez Manzano was in a Chevy Silverado traveling northbound on I-35. The vehicle drifted to the right, off the shoulder, and into the end of a guardrail.

Due to the collision, Hernandez Manzano sustained incapacitating injuries. At this time, police say alcohol could be a factor, but this remains unconfirmed.

Any possibility of alcohol is important to take seriously, especially if some local bar is liable for these injuries due to illegally over-serving the driver. But something I encounter all the time is authorities assuming the driver did something wrong without actually considering the facts.
