I saw in reports authorities mentioned looking into alcohol as a possibility here. This could lead some people to jump to conclusions, which I would strongly discourage.

Is alcohol a possibility worth looking into? Of course, especially if some local business illegally over-served the driver and contributed to the crash. But there are many other factors worth looking into, common or not, and it's not clear if authorities are considering those possibilities.

Distraction, missing signage, brake failure, medical conditions, visibility obstructions, tire blowouts, vehicle defects, etc. A proper investigation isn't going to overlook something just because it's uncommon. It's going to ensure the victim's loved ones are getting the answers they deserve. Were those steps ever taken here?
