Commentary on Carlton Williams Accident in Haltom City
It sees like there are a great many unanswered questions still about this tragic incident. Investigators know a vehicle hit the victim, but as of publishing their report they still didn't know whether anyone else hit him before that, what he was doing on foot in the area, where he came from, and many other crucial details.

I know that some of the remaining questions likely aren't simple to resolve with whatever police could find at the scene, but at the same time that doesn't excuse them from trying their hardest to find answers. At the very least the victim's loved ones deserve whatever information they can get about their loss, so if law enforcement plans to wash their hands of the matter and move on then maybe an independent investigation could fill in the blanks. If there's anything to do besides bring a grieving family the truth, that would depend on what is learned.
