Lisbeth Orozco Injured in Alleged Hit-and-run Accident in Houston, TX

Houston, TX -- June 23, 2022, Lisbeth Orozco was injured following an accident possibly involving an intoxicated driver.

Authorities released information showing that the crash took place at around 9:11 a.m. off Reims Road and Clarewood Drive.

According to reports, 43-year-old Lisbeth Evelyn Orozco was in a Ford F-150 traveling eastbound on Clarewood. At Reims, a southbound Ford Focus reportedly crashed into the side of Orozco's pickup.

Sources say that Orozco had injuries resulting from the crash. Charges are pending against the Focus driver for failure to stop and render aid, and unconfirmed claims allege that driver was under the influence of alcohol. This and other factors remain under investigation at this time.

If it's true that alcohol was a factor here, and if it's true the driver left the scene, it wouldn't be all that surprising. That kind of fact pattern is all too common. In Houston especially, folks are tired of seeing alcohol-related crashes plaguing their community. That's why it's important to know what options for recourse there are under Texas law. Besides the obvious charges a driver can face, it's also important to confront any negligent alcohol providers that contributed to the crash.

It remains to be seen if investigators are looking into those possibilities here.
