Commentary on Allison Dephillipo Accident in West Deptford

Right now there are still a lot of unanswered questions about what happened in this terrible crash. Reports say the victim rear-ended the truck, but how and why? How fast were both vehicles traveling? If the truck's tire "malfunctioned" did that affect its travel speed or direction? What exactly happened to the tire? Since the truck stayed moving, was it just just traveling along in one lane or did it merge into the victim's path? Might it have stopped suddenly ahead of her? Was her car in good repair? Was she awake, alert, and paying full attention to the road? What about the truck driver?

None of those questions are meant to complicate things or make accusations. I read the same reports as everyone else, but I doubt I'm alone in wanting more information. Hopefully police are hard at work on that very thing, but I've done this for long enough to know that law enforcement often stops short of finding the full story. Ensuring the victim's loved ones have every answer they can get should always be a priority, though, which is why I often recommend that people enlist the aid of independent investigators. If there are any steps to take beyond simply learning the whole truth of the accident, they will depend on what that truth turns out to be.
