Vilma Perez-Alvarado Killed, Melissa Diaz, Juan Licon III, Kianna Austin Injured in Truck Accident in Houston, TX

Houston, TX -- June 21, 2022, Vilma Perez-Alvarado was killed, Melissa Diaz, Juan Licon III, and Kianna Austin were injured, following an accident.

Authorities reported that the crash took place at around 6:15 p.m. along the Sam Houston Tollway near West Airport Boulevard.

Investigators said that 25-year-old Vilma Perez-Alvarado was in an Acura traveling eastbound on the Sam Houston Tollway. That vehicle somehow came up the entrance ramp, then crashed with a Chevy Express van. This led to a chain reaction crash involving at least seven vehicles.

Perez-Alvarado had fatal injuries due to the crash. One of the drivers, identified as Melissa Nichole Diaz, reportedly had incapacitating injuries. Two others were said to have non-incapacitating injuries. They were identified as Juan Licon III and Kianna Austin.
