Jolby Springer Killed in Motorcycle Crash off I-27 in Canyon, TX

Canyon, TX — July 18, 2022, 53-year-old motorcyclist Jolby Springer died in a head-on crash on the Interstate 27 service road in Canyon.

Reports say the incident happened around 7:20 a.m. on the I-27 service road at 4th Avenue. Preliminary investigation suggests a Ford Mustang was traveling north on the access road when the driver attempted to get on the ramp near 4th Avenue. Spring, riding a motorcycle south on the access road, allegedly failed to yield to the Mustang and the two collided head-on in the roadway.

Springer was pronounced dead at the scene. The Mustang driver received non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to an area hospital.
