Commentary on 18-wheeler Accident on I-40 in West Canton

West Canton, NC 18-wheeler Accident Causes Injures on I-40 at Newfound

With a crash this serious, my main concern is if authorities are giving it the attention it needs. Commercial truck wrecks are complex enough on their own. Multiple vehicles and a fiery crash scene requires extensive experience and state-of-the-art tools to make sure details don't slip through the cracks. Quite frankly, police departments don't always prioritize those things, meaning officers don't always have access to these vital tools. That's one of the reasons I tend to rely on independent accident reconstructionists to look into serious truck wrecks. A crash like this seems like it would be far from the exception to that.
