Commentary on Lazaro Garcia Car Accident in Austin

Just after 2:00 a.m., even with so few details, the concern of alcohol is ever present. It's all too common this early in the morning, and someone allegedly fleeing authorities tends to be a sign they had something to hide. What makes this uniquely important is that it's possible they were illegally over-served by a local bar, then sent to cause havoc after last call. In Texas, this can actually make bars liable under dram shop law, which is why thorough independent investigations are often more prudent when getting folks the help they need. Are those steps being taken here, even if it's just to rule out those possibilities?
