Commentary on Lorenzo Salas Flores Truck Accident in Kerr County
It's entirely possible that distraction was a factor here. I certainly can't prove otherwise nor can I rule it out. However, it's important to ensure there are thorough investigations into crashes like this. Authorities aren't always as thorough as folks would think.
Especially with single-vehicle wrecks, they often come up with what seem to be obvious explanations without really digging into the facts. But with commercial trucks, investigations need to cover things like training records, hours of service, maintenance history, health conditions, cargo shifts, defects, and a number of other potential factors which, likely or not, can cause a serious crash. Were there ever proper investigations here to ensure this man's loved ones knew they were getting the whole story?
