Commentary on Box Truck Accident on US 169 in Tulsa

It's not unusual for there to be so few details this soon after a serious truck wreck. The concern, however, is if steps are being taken to actually get some clear answers for the victims and families. I can't begin to count how often folks come to me weeks or months after a crash empty handed because they assumed police would handle things, but authorities simply dropped the ball.

Usually, this is because departments have other priorities, and they let accident reconstruction slip through the cracks. Other times, the factors are simply more complex than officers are used to handling. That's one of the reasons I'm so adamant about thorough independent investigations after deadly truck wrecks. Getting a grieving family the answers they deserve should always be a priority.
