Commentary on Brittany Woodson Accident in Mississippi County

Reports paint a picture of a woman losing control of her vehicle, but they're not exactly clear about why that happened. They say she was changing lanes when she lost control; what made that get out of hand? Was it just a matter of driver error, or could something else have gone wrong? Was anything wrong with the vehicle's steering or alignment? Did it blow a tire? Did it hit water or loose gravel on the roadway and lose traction? Did the car's airbags deploy properly when it hit the truck?

I'm not saying it's impossible that a routine traffic maneuver just got away from the driver in the moment. However, I think it's important not to assume that or write the crash off without first investigating all the possible explanations. A woman lost her life here, and that's more than enough reason to be thorough and make sure the truth is found. Her loved ones deserve to know that every effort was made to bring them answers. Will law enforcement handle the matter with appropriate care?
