Commentary on Truck Accident on Military Road in Pharr
This seems pretty darn egregious, if the reports are accurate. There are few if any acceptable reasons for a truck driver to make a turn like this. But it's important folks understand that these situations aren't just about whether or not a driver made a mistake. Insurance companies and trucking companies have teams dedicated to avoiding as much responsibility as possible. That's why it's crucial folks are able to anticipate and overcome these challenges.

For example, I had a situation not long ago where it was all but clear that a truck driver's mistake led to a serious crash. But since they couldn't avoid responsibility, they instead shifted the focus to the victim's injuries. They essentially accused him of lying about the severity of his injury, undergoing unnecessary scans and treatments, and exaggerating his inability to work. This was despite the fact our client had a ruptured disk in his spine that numerous doctors confirmed required surgery.
To overcome this, we had to get those medical experts to use the best imaging tech we could get our hands to clearly explain what the injury was, what symptoms it can cause, the results of leaving it untreated, and the treatments that were all but necessary to ensure the man could get back to work and support his family. Only by seeing how convincing that would be to a potential jury did we get the company to finally cooperate--begrudgingly, of course.
I sincerely hope no one here was as seriously hurt nor that they face similar obstacles. But waiting around for those obstacles to pop up is likely to leave victims and families without the sufficient tools and evidence to counter them properly. That's why taking steps as soon as possible to get these resources is crucial after any serious truck wreck, and I highly doubt this crash is the exception.
