Rockwall, TX -- June 5, 2022, two people sustained injuries due to an accident where two vehicles crashed along Shores Boulevard.

Investigators reported that the crash took place at around 12:28 a.m. along Shores Boulevard at Champions Circle.

Officials said that a vehicle was making a left turn off Champions onto Shores at the time. That vehicle reportedly went into southbound lanes while driving northbound, resulting in a collision with an oncoming vehicle.

A 51-year-old man and a 26-year-old man in the first vehicle reportedly had incapacitating injuries due to the crash. No other injuries were reported.

With a situation like this, folks will no doubt narrow in on the claim that alcohol contributed to the crash. Right now, there's just not enough information to say if that's true. Even the driver had been drinking, there's no evidence right now to say they were actually drunk. And if they were, it's entirely possible there's a local bar responsible for illegally over-serving the driver.

With all that said, there could even be other factors these reports fail to address. There may have been issues with the road, visibility issues, the other vehicle involved may have done something wrong, or maybe there was even a mechanical defect. The only way to know for sure is to ensure the right investigators are looking into things and ensuring nothing important slips through the cracks.
