Commentary on Truck Accident at Summit in San Antonio

Something like following too closely is unfortunately common, yet it's one of the easiest things to avoid. A normal driver should understand that, let alone a professional driver. If these reports are accurate, then it's possible this driver was just in a hurry or being inattention or reckless. But it's always important to know the facts for certain if only to consider that there could be extenuating circumstance.

For example, I looked into a crash a while back where we found out a truck driver barely had any professional driving experience. In fact, his employer knew this when hiring him, then neglected to train him properly. They rushed through in 30 minutes what should have been hours of safety training. Allowing someone like that is absolutely reckless and puts lives at risk--even the truck driver himself.

A situation like that requires a lot more evidence, unique legal strategies, and a far more thorough case than just some driver who dropped a sandwich in their lap or something similar. That's why I say there really is no straight-forward truck wreck because they need to be treated seriously and investigated by experienced professionals to make sure nothing important slips through the cracks. Was this crash treated with that prudence?
