Harris County, TX -- May 26, 2022, Logan Buckner and Chasity Perkins were injured due to an accident involving multiple vehicles and a semi.

From authorities, the crash happened at around 11:12 p.m. along the North Freeway near Airtex Drive.

Due to the collision, Buckner reportedly had incapacitating injuries while Perkins was said to have non-incapacitating injuries. Right now, additional details about the cause of the accident are unavailable.

Commentary on Logan Buckner, Chasity Perkins Truck Accident in Harris County

As straight-forward as reports like this may seem, folks would be surprised to see how often I looked into reports where the facts turned out to be far more complex.

What may seem like someone veering into a truck due to distraction or speeding could actually be a tire failure. Perhaps it was actually the truck that initiated contact, and the other driver was taken to the hospital before they told their side of the story. Or, maybe the reports are entirely accurate, and there just needs to be clear evidence to verify the police reports. It's even possible something highly unusual and coincidental contributed to the victims' injuries, such as faulty airbags or seatbelts.

These are all things that have happened before even when initial reports seem as open-and-shut as these. It's not entirely likely, of course, but getting people the help they need means ensuring they're getting the full story.
