Commentary on Rollover Accident on Antoine Drive in Houston

There isn't much information surrounding what happened here, but when folks see an early morning single-vehicle wreck, they tend to assume the driver fell asleep or was drunk. Those are certainly common factors. I wouldn't suggest overlooking them. That's especially true with the possibility of alcohol, considering how often people crash on their way home from bars, and it turns out the bar is liable under dram shop law because they dangerously and illegally over-served the victims. But those are just the common factors. It would be equally irresponsible to ignore possibilities like tire blowouts, medical conditions, mechanical defects, and even other drivers who left the scene. Are authorities really giving this tragic event the attention it deserves?
