Commentary on Semi-Truck Accident at Valley View in Farmers Branch
Crashes like this can often be a simple matter of a driver having a lapse in judgment, looking at their phone or just not paying attention to their surroundings. But the possibility of more complex factors makes it crucial to find out for sure what happened.
There could be a situation like one I handled a while back where it turned out a truck driver was woefully inexperienced and undertrained. Instead of some reckless driver, we had to take on an entire negligent company that otherwise would have continued putting lives at risk. That isn't the sort of thing authorities tend to handle on their own, which is why taking steps to get folks all the answers they can get is also a crucial step to getting them the help they deserve.
