Driver Killed in Overturn Accident on US-90 in San Antonio, TX

San Antonio, TX — June 19, 2022, a driver was killed in a single-vehicle accident along U.S. Highway 90 in San Antonio.

According to reports the incident happened around 2:00 p.m. on eastbound US-90 near the exit to Zarzamora Street. Preliminary investigation suggests a Ford F-150 pickup was headed east on the highway when they merged to exit for Zarzamora.

The driver allegedly tried to merge back into their previous lane after possibly changing their mind about exiting, but another vehicle entered that lane at the same time. The Ford driver veered away to avoid a collision and lost control.

The pickup traveled onto the shoulder and hit a guardrail several times. It then ran up the barrier and overturned on its side before crashing into a concrete pillar and coming to rest in the median.

The Ford driver, reportedly not wearing a seat belt, was partially ejected and suffered fatal injuries.

No further information is available at this time.
