Hunter and Jonathon Coco Killed in Fire Truck Crash in Lockhart, TX

Lockhart, TX — June 20, 2022, firefighters Hunter Coco (21) and Jonathon Coco (25) were killed when their truck crashed on State Park Road in Lockhart.

Authorities say the incident happened around 1:45 p.m. at State Park Road and San Jacinto Street. Preliminary investigation suggests a woman was driving south in a personal vehicle on San Jacinto when she started to turn onto State Park. While turning, her BMW 535 SUV was hit by a Maxwell Community Volunteer Fire Department brush truck. The truck then overturned.

Firefighters Hunter and Jonathon Coco were killed in the crash. The woman in the other vehicle received minor injuries.

The woman was issued a summons for failing to yield the right-of-way.

The investigation is ongoing. No further information is available at this time.
