Commentary on Truck Accident on Highway 85 in Frio County
While folks may see someone crash at a red light and assume they were doing something wrong, I'd caution folks against simply jumping to conclusions. As common as it is for things like speeding and distracted driving to lead to this crash, there could be other factors police have yet to consider.

Something any professional trucker should be able to empathize with is that they aren't always entirely in control of their driving. That may sound odd to people outside the industry, but the reality is some trucking companies do not give a damn about their drivers and force them into dangerous environments.
For example, a lot of companies neglect routine maintenance, often leading to catastrophic mechanical failures out on the road. Did authorities look into that? Forcing drivers to work unreasonably long hours to meet ludicrous deadlines can also lead to serious wrecks, such as one I looked into not that long ago where a driver essentially had to choose between being a safe driver and putting food on his family's table.
Those are just a couple of possible examples. Even when certain factors seem unlikely, they still warrant attention if people are going to get the answers and the help they need. It remains to be seen, then, if proper steps are being taken to get answers here.
