Commentary on Lorenzo Rodriguez Car Accident in Burleson

Some people may simply take at face value that police apparently spoke with a witness who contradicted what the victim apparently told police. Maybe their account is true, and I certainly know the importance of witness testimony to getting answers. But that testimony can really only be trusted in so far as it can be verified.

It's entirely possible the witness saw something other than what the victim did, but maybe that's because their view was obstructed, they weren't paying attention, or they just couldn't tell what happened in all the chaos. That's why it's important to at least give folks the benefit of the doubt after a crash until there can be thorough investigations into the evidence surrounding the crash. After all, if it's true that some other reckless driver caused all this, shouldn't that be something police pursue further?
