Anthony Jimerson II Injured in Car Accident in Longview, TX

Longview, TX -- May 28, 2022, Anthony Jimerson II was injured as the result of an accident where two vehicles crashed head-on.

Investigators reported that the crash took place at around 2:46 a.m. along Woodcrest Lane off Hilmont Avenue.

Initial reports said that 29-year-old Anthony Jimerson II was in a Honda Accord traveling westbound along Woodcrest. A car was reportedly parked on the westbound curb facing the wrong direction, and Jimerson's vehicle crashed into it.

Jimerson sustained incapacitating injuries due to the crash. No one else was reportedly injured. At this time, authorities are looking into possible factors surrounding the crash.

Just after 2:00 a.m. a lot of folks will no doubt assume alcohol led to this crash. That's certainly common, and it's very important to consider when someone is seriously hurt. Part of that, of course must be looking into whether or not a local alcohol provider over-served someone, as they could be liable for the resulting injuries. But that's still just one possibility. Even unlikely factors like mechanical defects or road hazards warrant attention if folks are going to get the help they need.
