This early in the morning, folks may be quick to jump to conclusions about what exactly happened here. Did the driver fall asleep at the wheel? Were they on their phone? Were they intoxicated from the night before? Were they speeding? As common as these possible factors may be, it takes thorough investigations to ensure there weren't other complex factors. Something like a sudden mechanical failure, for example, isn't all that common. But does it happen? Of course, which is why a crash like this always requires thorough investigations. If nothing else, there are families out there in need of answers. Relying on police alone simply may not be enough to get them those answers.
