Commentary on Propane Tank Accident at WCTractor in Bryan
Clearly this is a serious issue, and I hope investigators can get to the bottom of what happened and why. What precisely was the victim doing when the fire happened at the filling station? Were they filling a tank themselves? Were they a customer, and was the business's staff aware of what they were doing? Does the business have employees trained to handle and refill propane tanks for customers, or is the refill station self-serve? What exactly sparked the fire, and could it have been prevented? Have similar issues happened in the past there?

Obviously it's important to get answers on general principle, as knowing all the facts is best after just about any accident. On top of that, however, figuring out the whole picture helps determine whether anyone should be held accountable for the damage done. I'm not pointing any fingers at the business where the fire occurred, but if closer investigation showed something was wrong with their refilling process or equipment then they may be at least partly responsible for the damage done to that unlucky victim. Only time and further work can say, so I hope authorities will invest both to learn the full story.
