Commentary on Dante Elliott, Nicole Ende Truck Accident in Williamstown
With the details about the brakes smoking and possibly failing leading up to the crash, it's important that experienced accident reconstructionists have a chance to look into all of this. To be frank, this sort of thing is not usually some unforeseeable accident.

Brake failure is usually the result of misuse or poor maintenance. That's especially concerning with work vehicles since, as many truckers can attest to, there are companies out there that simply don't give a damn about their workers and force them to operate shoddy trucks that are essentially ticking time bombs due to their disrepair.
With that said, the possibility of a manufacturing defect causing the brakes to fail cannot go overlooked. As unlikely as defects may be, they've happened before, and they'll continue to happen. This can be especially concerning considering other drivers could still be at risk if the issue isn't brought to light and addressed.
All of these possibilities are ones that authorities do not generally investigate on their own. That's why independent accident reconstructionists with the right tools and training would no doubt be crucial for getting answers about what led to this tragic event. Are those steps being taken here?
