Commentary on Teenager Fatal Car Accident on US 90 in Liberty

A concern I always have with crashes like this is if they're really getting the attention they deserve. Oftentimes when a teenage driver is involved in a crash, the assumption is that driver did something wrong. While it's true that teenagers are more likely to cause accidents, that unfortunately can lead to authorities jumping to conclusions and missing crucial, unusual details.

Could it be that there were extenuating factors here? Mechanical issues? Medical conditions? Road hazards? Other vehicles behaving unpredictably? A tire blowout? Even if something seems unlikely, there's a family out there that at least deserves to know they're getting the full story. That's likely going to take more thorough reports than what the news has right now.
