Commentary on Fatal Truck Accident on Oak Ridge in Orlando

The damage shown in photos is devastating, to say the least. With a crash this serious, folks would rightfully say there needs to be an immediate, thorough investigation into what happened. But waiting around for the police isn't always the way to get the facts. Oftentimes, it takes more thorough independent investigations to catch details that authorities either didn't have the time, experience, or tools to look into.

Not long ago, for example, a family came to me about a crash where a truck driver said a car ran a red light and hit them. The investigating officer couldn't really make heads or tails on if that was true or not, and they were ultimately pulled to other investigations before figuring things out. Well, it didn't take us too long to find security footage from a nearby business which clearly showed the truck run the red light, not the car. It wasn't long after that the trucking company did right by the victim's loved ones.

I'm not saying anything like that happened here or that the authorities can't handle things. It's simply important folks understand the steps they may need to take after a serious truck wreck. Getting answers is one of the most important steps toward whatever resolution there may be for a grieving family. Are those steps being taken here?
