Three Injured in Single-Vehicle Accident on Shoreline in Corpus Christi, TX

Corpus Christi, TX -- June 11, 2022, three were injured in an accident where a vehicle crashed over the seawall near Waters Edge Park.

Preliminary reports said that the crash took place early Sunday near the Corpus Christi Marina. For reasons currently under investigation, the crash occurred when a car somehow crashed through the seawall and went into the bay below.

As a result, three people were taken to area hospitals with reportedly serious injuries. Police say they're looking into alcohol as a possible factor in the crash. This and other details are still under investigation.

It's not surprisinfg for authorities to look into alcohol following any serious crash early in the morning. Just after midnight Sunday just so happens to be the worst time of the week for drunk driving as many folks are headed home after Saturday night out at bars. This is especially important to consider with the possibility one of those bars illegally over-served the driver, since they an actually be liable for their role in the victims' injuries under dram shop law.
