Commentary on David Polczer, Bobby Johnson Truck Accident in Bethlehem

A crash like this can be more complex than folks may realize given that the person who suffered the most severe consequences was a passenger. That can bring up ideas that folks don't generally consider, but they're notions that I deal with nearly every day. Why exactly does the deceased victim being a passenger change things?

David Polczer, Bobby Johnson Killed in Dump Truck Accident in Bethlehem, PA

Well, folks tend to see crashes as vehicle versus vehicle. In reality, it comes down to just what exactly caused the wreck. If another driver causes a passenger's death, they can obviously be responsible. But the driver of that victim's vehicle can also be responsible in most situations if they were the ones that messed up. I've talked to many people who didn't realize they had legal options available to them because they assumed that their loved one couldn't hold their own driver accountable.

Just to be clear, I'm not saying one way or another what I think happened here. That would be outright irresponsible, and I would encourage folks to take any claims otherwise with a grain of salt. My point is to emphasize to people the importance of thorough investigations after a serious truck wreck like this. Those answers can be absolutely crucial in getting people the help they deserve.
