Tazh Fonville Killed in Motorcycle Accident on FM 893 in San Patricio County, TX

San Patricio County, TX — May 25, 2022, 62-year-old Tazh Fonville was killed in a traffic accident on FM 893 in San Patricio County.

Authorities say the incident happened around 4:00 p.m. on FM 893 near County Road 1612. Preliminary investigation suggests a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was towing a trailer south on the road as Fonville was riding a Honda motorcycle north in the same area.

Reports indicate the Chevy driver turned left toward a private drive and failed to yield to the Honda. The pickup entered the bike's path and the two crashed in the northbound lane.

Fonville was ejected from his motorcycle and suffered fatal injuries.

When interviewed the pickup driver said he'd had a single beer hours before the crash; investigators said he showed no signs of impairment.
