Commentary on Truck Accident on FM 455 in Denton County

Is it possible that a sudden, unpredictable gust of wind caused this crash? Sure, and maybe an accident reconstruction could confirm that. However, I've had plenty of situations where a truck driver blamed a crash on weather only for more thorough investigations to show they simply screwed up.

Denton County, TX Truck Accident Injures Man on FM 455

Not long ago, for example, a truck driver blamed a deadly crash on rain. When we looked into things, however, the rain was barely a drizzle. In fact, we found that the truck had worn tires and had been going too fast at the time of crash. It's possible they even would have lost control in dry conditions. But it took us digging all that up to set the record straight.

I'm not saying anything like that happened here, but it's always important to ensure there are thorough investigations into crashes like this so folks know they're getting the full story.
