Commentary on Ebrahim Erfanian Accident on Hwy 329 in Crane County
Right now there's a lot of missing information and it's too early to say exactly what happened. A man lost his life, however, and surely that warrants a careful and thorough investigation and as many answers as can be found for his loved ones.
Hopefully some outstanding questions will be addressed as police keep looking into the matter: Why was the victim parked on the shoulder? Was his vehicle clearly visible? Why did the other driver swerve onto the shoulder? Was something wrong with their car? Did they fall asleep? Were they distracted by something, like their phone? What were weather and road conditions like at the time?
That's just a handful of the many details that still need to be ironed out to ensure the crash is properly understood. The point isn't to complicate things, just to make sure that a comprehensive picture is put together and all the possible factors are considered. That's the best way to ensure the story in reports is the whole truth, and the victim's family deserves no less.
