Commentary on Kevin Jose irias Martinez Truck Accident in Fitchburg

It's certainly possible that the fog contributed to this crash, but I'm always concerned with such details because they can sometimes distract authorities if those left in charge aren't experienced or equipped well enough to consider more complex possible factors. Weather can certainly play a role in deadly wrecks like this, but insurance companies often use that excuse to shift focus away from someone's reckless actions.

A while back, for example, a family came to me about a trucking company denying responsibility for their driver crossing the center line and hitting a car head-on. The evidence showed it was raining at the time, and the trucking company tried to say it was simply too hazardous for their driver to maintain control. To no surprise, our investigations showed that the rain was not record breaking by any means but instead a light drizzle, and the truck was simply going too fast. In fact, the truck's tires were also dangerously warn, so it's possible it would have lost control even on dry ground. Only after picking apart that defense did the trucking company finally cooperate.

That's not to say similar excuses are being made here nor is it to blame anyone without any evidence. My point is simply that waiting around for police reports often ends up with victims and families only getting a small piece of the much larger picture. It's crucial, then, that steps are taken as soon as possible to have the right people look into a wreck like this.
