Initial reports said that the incident took place at around 10:00 a.m. along FM 1097 at EZ Boat Storage.
In reports, it appears that a man was securing a boat to a trailer attached to a Ford F-150. While doing so, the crank handle somehow struck the driver's head. Commentary on Boat Trailer Accident on FM 1097 in Lake Conroe
These are some unusual details, as they "why" of this crank supposedly hitting the driver in the head is rather unusual. There are also quite few details regarding the man blacking out and the potential nature of his injuries. Put simply, this could be nothing more than a mistake on the trailer owner's part, causing a tool to hit him. However, the possibility of a defective part, unlikely as it may be, is important to consider. Folks should be able to use their products without fear they'll get hurt. If something unexpected led to this happening, will authorities have the tools and experience to properly investigate it?
