One Injured in Semi-Truck Accident on Highway 160 in Nixa, MO

Nixa, MO -- May 26, 2022, one person was injured following an accident in which a semi-truck and a car collided on Highway 160.

Authorities reported that the crash took place at around 1:13 p.m. along Highway 160.

In their reports, officials said that a semi-truck somehow crashed into the side of a blue sedan. Right now, the cause of the crash remains unclear.

One person involved in the crash was said to have serious injuries. It's unclear if anyone else was hurt.

It's not entirely clear what went wrong here, though photos seem to show the crash happened at a traffic signal. If this involved someone running a light, that may seem a lot more simple than these accidents typically are.

I had a crash not long ago, in fact, where a truck and car crashed at a light, and both drivers claimed the other ran the light. Police simply couldn't make heads or tails of it, so they essentially left the victim on their own. Well, once we got on the case, it didn't take us long to find a nearby business with a security camera that caught the whole thing on video. It showed the truck run the red, and that was that.

While not every police officer or department is as flippant as that one was, it would shock folks to see how often independent investigations caught something police missed. It's possible the same would prove true here, as well.
