Commentary on Tractor-Trailer Accident on Route 19 in Slippery Rock Township

This soon after a devastating truck wreck, it's not unusual for there to be so few details available. The question, though, is if authorities have the tools and experience to look into things properly. Not every department prioritizes traffic wreck investigation, which can leave even skilled officers without the right tools, training, or simply time to do their jobs. That's how important information slips through the cracks.

Whether there's a family in need of answers or someone who needs to be held accountable for causing a deadly wreck, evidence is just about the most important tool a family can have. That's one of the reasons I always rely on independent accident reconstructionists who can ensure as much information as possible comes to light. Whether or not those steps are being taken here remains to be seen.
