Jeremy Yaruta Dies after Crash with Truck on Ordnance Rd in Glen Burnie, MD

Glen Burnie, MD -- May 11, 2022, 36-year-old dirt bike rider Jeremy Yaruta was fatally injured in a collision with a tractor-trailer on Ordnance Road in Glen Burnie.

Authorities say the incident happened Wednesday at the crossing of East Ordnance Road and Blades Lane. Preliminary investigation suggests Yaruta was riding a dirt bike west on Ordnance, approaching the Blades intersection. Reports say the dirt bike's headlight was not on at the time. As it approached Blades, a Freightliner semi-truck started to turn left in the crossroads and blocked its path. The dirt bike hit the truck, ejecting both Yaruta and his passenger.

Yaruta suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash and later succumbed to them. His passenger reportedly fled the scene on foot. The truck driver was unhurt.
