Commentary on Megabus Accident on I-95 in Baltimore County
With a crash like this, it may be more complex to get answers than people realize. Folks may think investigating a rollover isn't too challenging, but the simple fact it involved a commercial bus could make things incredibly complex. Part of the reason for this is the interests involved.
Commercial agencies are already reluctant as is to help victims and families if they can avoid it. But on top of that, a bus of this size is required by federal statute to have at least $5 million in liability coverage. That means whatever insurance company is involved also has a lot on the line, and they'll have professionals doing everything in their power to minimize the blame.
Without extensive evidence and proper legal maneuvering, victims and families can easily find themselves at a significant disadvantage. That's why it's crucial to ensure professionals look into a crash like this and get clear answers about what happened. Otherwise, the obstacles between victims and the help they need could prove too steep to climb.
