Jimmy Lee Green Single-Vehicle Accident Bosque County, TX

With a situation like this, a lot of people will be quick to assume the driver did something wrong. It is true that things like distracted driving and speeding are common. Alcohol is also important to consider, even around this time of day (there are plenty of brunch spots okay with illegally over-serving their patrons, after all). But just assuming the driver did something wrong without considering other possibilities is just plain irresponsible. Just because something like a mechanical defect is unlikely doesn't mean it's okay to ignore. Proper investigations consider even less likely possibilities to ensure victims and families have all the facts they need to get help. Authorities don't always share that priority, which is why independent investigations are often necessary. It remains to be seen if the right professionals are looking into things here.
