Commentary on Reymundo Arteta Ruiz Rollover Accident in Arlington
Just to be clear up front, I can't make conclusions based solely on preliminary reports. I always take these details with a grain of salt, and it's likely best that others do the same until it can be made certain investigators are getting all the facts.
Obviously, any claim of alcohol is one to take seriously. That's especially true if investigations show that a local alcohol provider illegally over-served whoever caused the accident. That establishment could then be liable under dram shop law for breaking the law and contributing to the crash.
With that said, though, investigators must also have the prudence and experience to consider other possibilities, as well. Anything from faulty seatbelts to alcohol to road hazards can contribute to a deadly wreck. A family looking for answers and people in need of assistance at least deserve to know they're getting the whole story.
