Commentary on Ret. Captain Bobby Anderson Dump Truck Accident in Cookeville

Ret. Captain Bobby Anderson Dump Truck Accident Cookeville, TN

There are a lot of truckers who read my blog, and one common grievance I see is that the average motorist doesn’t know how to drive around large trucks. Well, in my experience, drivers of all stripes fail to appreciate the vulnerability of motorcyclists. There are entire public service campaigns reminding people to keep an eye out for motorcyclists and to take appropriate precautions. Still, crashes like this happen all too often. I can't say what exactly caused this wreck, and I'm certainly not trying to blame anyone. It's simply that I've helped a lot of families affected by drivers not appreciating the risk their vehicles pose to motorcyclists around them. I just hope this isn’t another example of that problem.
