Wayne Prosperie Killed, One Injured in Motorcycle Accident on TX-82 in Port Arthur

Port Arthur, TX -- May 14, 2022, 32-year-old motorcyclist Wayne Prosperie was killed in a traffic collision on State Highway 82 in Port Arthur.

Authorities say the incident happened shortly before 9:00 p.m. on the 1100 block of TX-82/Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Preliminary investigation suggests that Prosperie and a passenger were riding a Honda motorcycle on the highway when a southbound Lincoln car failed to yield while turning left and entered their path. The motorcycle and the Lincoln crashed in the northbound roadway.

Prosperie was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, later identified as 34-year-old Kendra Eyth, suffered serious injuries. The other driver was unhurt.

The investigation is ongoing. No further information is available at this time.
