With reports like these, I always reserve my judgments unless I've had a chance to have independent investigations make sure police didn't overlook anything. That's almost always a prudent approach to a serious crash, but it can be particularly important with motorcycle wrecks. This is because a lot of people are quick to blame motorcyclists, and I've even had situations where police did so only for more thorough investigations to completely contradict their allegations. It's possible that happened here, though investigations could also show that police already have a good understanding of the facts. Either way, the important thing is to ensure all factors are considered so nothing important goes overlooked.
